"Smoke & Mirrors" is a piece of music composed by Floyd Vader that takes us into the crossover between Bossa/Samba rhythms + American electronic frequencies. This piece started as an experiment by Floyd, as he was learning the inner workings of the Korg "Triton" synthesizer. This experiment then culminated into Floyd performing all of the electronic elements of this piece, strictly out of the Triton, with the exception of the acoustic percussion, which was also played by Floyd. A couple of sessions later, and BOOM! We have a piece that Floyd calls "Smoke & Mirrors".

This 10 minute journey takes you through depths of feeling and musical richness, while still offering enough space in the arrangement for you to properly take in what is happening each time the music reintroduces itself. This is a dance floor beatdown, just as much as it is a warm & relaxing lounge and listen piece of music.
